Who was that freaky woman at the funeral?
~ Hanna about the Black Widow

The Black Widow is an anonymous character on The A-Team. She wears all black clothing, a black veil and a pair of black leather gloves, while attending funerals. She is revealed to be Sara Harvey in "Game Over, Charles", who was also Red Coat.

Season 4

'A' is for A-l-i-v-e

The Black Widow attends Darren Wilden's funeral, much to the confusion of The Liars, who wonder the identity of the lady. At the end of the episode, the Black Widow exits the funeral home and gets into a car and is then seen inside the A-Team's lair, wearing the burned "Alison" Mask, revealing that she is Red Coat and is a part of the "A-Team".

Turn of the Shoe

The Liars discuss the Black Widow and they theorize that it was Melissa.

Season 5

Miss Me x 100

The Black Widow's costume can be seen on a mannequin as Big A moves into their new lair.

Run, Ali, Run

At the end of the episode, the Black Widow is seen fixing a card and flowers for Bethany Young's parent. She adjusts her veil and picks up the flowers.

How the 'A' Stole Christmas

The Black Widow appeared in Christmas future as Jessica DiLaurentis.

Season 6

Game Over, Charles

It is revealed that CeCe sent the Black Widow to Wilden's funeral to make sure that he was really dead. The Black Widow returns to CeCe's limo and lifts her veil to reveal Sara Harvey. CeCe asks her if she saw the body and she tells CeCe that Wilden is dead.

Of Late I Think of Rosewood

Sara shows up to Charlotte's funeral dressed in a black veil and black dress, similar to her original Black Widow disguise.

  • The Black Widow was seen in Season 4 without her costume on. It is unknown if she was in a different disguise or if she appeared in person which narrows down the suspects. It is later revealed that this was as Red Coat and in photographs.
  • The Liars' only suspect for the character was Melissa Hastings.
  • It was believed that she was Big A by many fans.
  • The Black Widow was revealed in "Game Over, Charles".
  • On November 24th, 2014, @thatswhatAsaid on Twitter posted "A riddle for you, black coat, red coat, white cloak too... Black veil, red nail, Ali mask true... Blonde hair, evil flair, who, who, who? -A". CeCe Drake was revealed to be White Cloak and has also worn a red coat, red nail polish, a black hoodie and an Ali mask, therefore, implying CeCe may be Black Veil as well. The tweet was later deleted. It was later revealed that CeCe was "A" and her accomplice was Black Widow.
  • The Black Widow appeared to Alison in the form of Jessica DiLaurentis in "How the 'A' Stole Christmas". However, this was only in the Christmas Future dream world.
  • The Black Widow was also a decoy Red Coat.
